All Smile at Site Intelligence with new contract

October 2004: Co-operative Financial Services (CFS) has chosen Site Intelligence, as its sole provider of website analytics software for its Smile, Co-operative Bank and Co-operative Insurance Services [CIS] websites.

The web analytics company is providing a hosted version of its Visitor Behaviour Information System (VBIS) software to analyse CFS’ website users' online behaviour and to drive its web development and marketing strategy.

Jo Dodds, Web Agency Manager,at CFS  said: "Previously, we collected information from our different websites using a range of website tracking tools, but we wanted to bring all the sites under one system that gave us sophisticated but easy-to-interpret online data analysis."

"The VBIS SiteViewer, coupled with the meaningful business information the software provides, means we can present consistent reports to all levels of management, from marketing and brand teams to operations and our corporate function."

The combined website traffic from all  three CFS sites amounts to just under 1 million unique users every month. The organisation will use VBIS to gain an understanding of what its customers require from the sites by analysing volumes of web traffic to particular product pages and total application conversion levels.

Dodds said: "Dealing with such massive amounts of data generated by our customers' visits we really want to concentrate on trends in activity to provide our customers with the best possible online experience."

VBIS version 2.1 includes the VBIS SiteViewer which provides a graphical map of visitor activity and navigation around a website. The map clearly shows where the most valuable visitors are coming from, and identifies any bottlenecks in the navigation process. It also illustrates any level of detail, from a general overview of the whole site, to an in-depth view of individual areas – even to the level of a single product page.
